Garrett Caples (born 1972) is an American poet and former music and arts journalist. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, he currently lives in San Francisco, California, after fifteen years in Oakland. An editor at City Lights Books, Caples curates the new American poetry series, City Lights Spotlight. From 2005 to 2014, he wrote on hip hop, literature, and painting for the San Francisco Bay Guardian, and has written fiction on unusual sexual practices, like omorashi. As a hip hop journalist, Caples has been the first write on various Bay Area rappers, including J Stalin, D-Lo, Eddi Projex, Traxamillion, Droop-E, and Shady Nate. He's also written cover stories on more established stars like E-40, Mac Dre, Mistah FAB, Husalah (Mob Figaz), and The Jacka (Mob Figaz). Significantly, his interview with Shock-G of Digital Underground announced the end of that classic hip hop crew. Harry Caples
Harry Caples (1898–1933) was an Australian representative rugby league player. His club football was played with the Eastern Suburbs club. Club career A former schoolboy star, Caples attended St. Joseph's College, Hunters Hill before being graded by the Roosters in 1916. He played 110 matches for the club in the years (1916-23 & 1929). A five-eighth, Caples captained Easts to the club's fourth premiership in 1923, scoring two tries in that match. Representative career Caples was selected for the 1921–22 Kangaroo tour of Great Britain. He played for Australia in two Tests on tour and 22 minor tour matches. He is listed on the ''Australian Players Register'' as Kangaroo No. 117. During his career he represented for three different states New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. Yvonne Caples (born 14 June 1972) is an American former professional boxer who competed between 1999 and 2014. She held the IFBA light flyweight title in 2003 and challenged for multiple world championships during her career; the WIBF light flyweight title in 2002; the WIBA minimumweight title twice in 2004 and 2005; and the WBC female light flyweight title in 2005. Professional career Caples became a professional boxer in 1999. Before fighting for the world championship, she had to meet the likes of Kim Messer, Elena Reid and former world champion Para Draine before meeting Regina Halmich in Germany for the WIBF world Jr. Flyweight title, on 17 August 2002.
