Renan Barbosa Contar (; born 25 December 1983) is a Brazilian retired military officer and politician. Contar was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso do Sul from 2019 to 2023. He ran in the 2022 Mato Grosso do Sul state election as a candidate for governor, but was defeated by Eduardo Riedel (PSDB) on the second round. He attended the Preparatory School of Cadets for the Army in 2002 in Campinas, Brazil. He graduated from the Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras in 2006 in Resende. The Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso do Sul (Portuguese: ''Assembleia Legislativa de Mato Grosso do Sul'') is the legislative body of the government of the state of Mato Grosso do Sul in Brazil. Governed by the 1969 Constitution , the ALMS came from the first Constituent State Assembly of Mato Grosso do Sul, created on January 1, 1979 by the then president of the republic Ernesto Geisel, as part of complementary law 31, which dismembered the southern portion from the state of Mato Grosso to create a new state. On June 13, 1979, the state constitution was enacted, which gave the house its current name. Escola Preparatória De Cadetes Do Exército
The Escola Preparatória de Cadetes do Exército - EsPCEx (Brazilian Army Preparatory School of Cadets) is a coeducational one-year military school in Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. EsPCEx started construction in 1944, but due to budget constraints, did not open until the late 1960's EsPCEx is for students wanting to become Commissioned Officers, commissioned officers in the Brazilian Armed Forces. It prepares candidates for entrance into the Academia Militar das Agulhas Negras (AMAN). The coursework at EsPCEx compares to the first year at a regular higher education institution, but with the addition of military subjects. There is also an emphasis on physical training. After graduating from EsPCEx, students enter AMAN or received the Reserve Certificate for the military service they performed at EsPCEx. Jair Messias Bolsonaro (; born 21 March 1955) is a Brazilian politician and retired military officer who has been the 38th president of Brazil since 1 January 2019. Campo Grande
Campo Grande (, ) is the capital and largest city of the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul in the Center-West region of the country. The city is nicknamed ''Cidade Morena'' ("Swarthy City" in Portuguese) because of the reddish-brown colour of the region's soil. It has a population of 906,092, according to a 2020 IBGE estimate,.
