Capital University Law School
Capital University Law School is an American Bar Association#Accreditation of law schools, ABA-accredited private law school located in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The law school is affiliated with Capital University, the oldest university in Central Ohio and one of the oldest and largest Lutheran-affiliated universities in North America. The school was voted a "Best Value Law School" on the basis of tuition by the National Jurist magazine in 2009. In 2011, the National Jurist magazine, as well as PreLaw magazine named Capital as one of the nation’s top law schools in preparing students for legal careers in public service. The Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia is the state supreme court of the state of West Virginia, the highest of West Virginia's state courts. The court sits primarily at the West Virginia State Capitol in Charleston, although from 1873 to 1915, it was also required by state law to hold sessions in Charles Town in the state's Eastern Panhandle. The court also holds special sittings at various locations across the state. Gregory S. Lashutka (born March 28, 1944) is an American lawyer who served as the 51st List of mayors of Columbus, Ohio, mayor of Columbus, Ohio, from 1992 to 2000. He is an Eagle Scout (Boy Scouts of America), Eagle Scout and had earlier been an American football player. Athletics Lashutka was tight end for the Ohio State University Ohio State Buckeyes, Buckeyes football team, under head coach Woody Hayes, from 1963 to 1965. In 1965 Lashutka served as his team's co-captain with Ike Kelley. In 1966, he was drafted to play professionally by the Buffalo Bills, at the time a member team of the American Football League (AFL). Bruce Edward Johnson
Bruce Edward Johnson (born May 25, 1960) is an American lawyer and Republican politician who was appointed the State of Ohio's 63rd lieutenant governor on January 5, 2005, to complete an unexpired term. Johnson concurrently served as Director of the Ohio Department of Development. Johnson entered politics in Columbus, becoming Greg Lashutka's chief of staff after he managed Lashutka's successful 1991 campaign for mayor of Columbus.
