Robinson Road, Singapore
Robinson Road () is a major trunk road in Singapore's Central Area. The road is named afterward Sir William Cleaver Francis Robinson, the Governor of the Straits Settlements in 1877–1879. The land on which Robinson Road now stands was crested through land reclamation work started in 1879. Double-deck Elevator
A double-deck elevator or double-deck lift is an elevator where one cab is stacked on top of another. This allows passengers on two consecutive floors to be able to use the elevator simultaneously, significantly increasing the passenger capacity of an elevator shaft. Such a scheme can improve efficiency in buildings where the volume of traffic would normally have a single-deck elevator stopping at every floor. For example, a passenger may board the lower deck (which serves only odd-numbered floors) at basement level while another passenger may board the upper deck (which serves even-numbered floors) on the ground floor—the cab serving even floors is on top of the cab serving odd floors. Double-deck elevators occupy less building core space than traditional single-deck elevators do for the same level of traffic. The China Club is a retro-chic, Shanghai-style club and Michelin star restaurant in Hong Kong. It is related to the China Clubs in Singapore and Beijing but not to the clubs of the same name in New York City and Berlin, Germany. Tanjong Pagar MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East West line located at Maxwell Road between the junctions of Peck Seah Street and Cecil Street in Downtown Core, Singapore.
