Capel Bond
Capel Bond (14 December 1730 – 14 February 1790) was an English organist and composer. Life and career He was born in Gloucester, the son of William Bond and the younger brother of painter and japanner Daniel Bond (1725–1803). He received his education at the Crypt school with his uncle, Rev. Daniel Bond, and at the age of twelve became apprentice to the organist of Gloucester Cathedral, Martin Smith. He left for Coventry in 1749, where he became organist of two large churches, St Michael and All Angels (later Coventry Cathedral), and, in 1752, Holy Trinity Church, Coventry. He married Ann Spooner, the daughter of Abraham Spooner and his second wife, Anne Birch, at Holy Trinity in 1768. Capel Lofft
Capel Lofft (sometimes spelled Capell; 14 November 1751 – 26 May 1824) was a British lawyer, writer and amateur astronomer. Life Born in London, he was educated at Eton College, Peterhouse, Cambridge. He trained as a lawyer at Lincoln's Inn, where he was called to the bar (qualified as a barrister) in 1775. In addition to his legal practice, he became a prolific writer on the law and political topics. In politics, he was an advocate of parliamentary and other reforms, identifying with the Foxite Whig faction. He also engaged in voluminous correspondence with prominent authors. His legal career was ended by a case in Stanton, Suffolk. On the night of 3 October 1799, Sarah Lloyd, a 22 year old servant, was incited by a suitor to steal 40 shillings. Capel Luckyn
Sir Capel Luckyn, 2nd Baronet (8 May 1622 – 23 January 1680) of Messing Hall, Essex was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons at various times between 1647 and 1679. Luckyn was the son of Sir William Luckyn, 1st Baronet and his wife Mildred Capel, daughter of Sir Gamaliel Capel of Rookwood Hall, Essex. He was educated at Bishop's Stortford and Caius College, Cambridge. In 1647, Luckyn was elected Member of Parliament for Harwich in the Long Parliament. He acquired Messing Hall, his future residence, in 1650. Luckyn inherited the baronetcy on the death of his father in 1660. He was elected MP for Harwich in the Convention Parliament of 1660. He was re-elected MP for Harwich in 1664 to the Cavalier Parliament and sat until 1679. Luckyn died at the age of 57. He had married Mary Grimston, daughter of Sir Harbottle Grimston, 2nd Baronet. Sir Capel Molyneux, 3rd Baronet
Sir Capel Molyneux, 3rd Baronet PC (Ire) (1717 – August 1797) was an Irish politician. Early life Capel was the son of Sir Thomas Molyneux, 1st Baronet and his second wife Catherine Howard, daughter of Professor Ralph Howard. In 1738 he succeeded his brother Daniel to the title of Baronet and to all the family estates except Castle Dillon, which he did not inherit until 1759, when the former wife of his late first cousin died. Capel graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1737 and received an honorary LLD in 1768. Career He was appointed High Sheriff of Armagh in 1744 and sat for Clogher in the Irish House of Commons from 1761 to 1768. Subsequently, he represented Dublin University to 1776 and then again for Clogher to 1783. He was invested to the Privy Council of Ireland in 1776.
