Jack Cape
John Phillips Cape (16 November 1911 – 6 June 1994) was an English footballer who played as a forward. Born in Carlisle, he played for Penrith, Carlisle United, Newcastle United, Manchester United, Queens Park Rangers and Scarborough, as well as guesting for Carlisle United during the Second World War. Career After playing for Penrith, Cape joined his hometown club, Third Division North side Carlisle United at the age of 17, and made his debut a month before his 18th birthday.Dykes (1994), pp. 69–70. Joey Cape
Randal Joseph Cape (born November 16, 1966) is an American singer and musician. Active since 1989, Cape is best known as the frontman of the California punk rock band Lagwagon. Cape released his first solo album, ''Bridge'', in 2008. His second album ''Doesn't Play Well with Others'', was self-released in 2011, after he released each song on the album each month of 2010, collecting them all on CD and vinyl in the end of 2010. Biography In addition to his work with Lagwagon, he was the lead vocalist for the experimental band Bad Astronaut until they disbanded due to death of drummer Derrick Plourde and is also a guitarist in the cover band Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Safford Cape
Safford Cape (28 June 1906 - 26 March 1973) was an American conductor, composer and musicologist. Born and educated in Denver, Colorado, Cape moved to Belgium in 1925 to further his studies in composition and musicology. From 1933, after a few years of chamber music composition, Cape began focusing on the performance of medieval and Renaissance music. To this end, he founded and conducted the Pro Musica Antiqua of Brussels, an ensemble specialising on music from the medieval and Renaissance periods. This group toured throughout Europe and the Americas and produced many recordings. Cape's work inspired Noah Greenberg to form a similar ensemble in America, the New York Pro Musica which was recorded first by EMS Recordings EMS Recordings was founded in 1949 by Jack Skurnick in New York City. Thomas Cape
Thomas Cape MBE (5 October 1868 in Cockermouth, Cumberland – 1947) was the Labour Party Member of Parliament (MP) for Workington from 1918 to 1945. Before entering the House of Commons, Thomas Cape, son of William Cape, worked as a miner for twenty-five years between the ages of 13 and 38. He became General Secretary of the Cumberland Miners Association, and was awarded the M.B.E. in 1917.
