Canton Of Vence
The canton of Vence is an administrative division of the Alpes-Maritimes department, southeastern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Vence. Cantons Of France
The cantons of France are territorial subdivisions of the France, French Republic's Departments of France, departments and Arrondissements of France, arrondissements. Apart from their role as organizational units in relation to certain aspects of the administration of public services and justice, the chief purpose of the cantons today is to serve as Constituency, constituencies for the election of members of the representative assemblies established in each of France's territorial departments (Departmental council (France), departmental councils, formerly general councils). Puget-Rostang
Puget-Rostang (; oc, Lo Puget Rostanh; it, Poggetto Rostang) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes ''département'' in southeastern France. Geography The commune is traversed by the Cianavelle and the Raton River. It is located from Nice and from Puget-Théniers, seat of the canton. The climate is Mediterranean, tempered by the altitude. Winters are brisk, but with no snow. The village lies at the confluence of the Mairola and the Riou d’Auvare. The valley of the Mairola lies east and west and is dominated by the Mount Cimaillon (1514 m), which was topped by a castle. Economy Until the middle of the 19th century, the village raised just enough to feed itself. Grain grew poorly in the rocky soil, and the vineyards only provided enough for family consumption.
