Canton Of Redessan
The canton of Redessan is an administrative division of the Gard department, southern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Redessan. Cantons Of France
The cantons of France are territorial subdivisions of the France, French Republic's Departments of France, departments and Arrondissements of France, arrondissements. Apart from their role as organizational units in relation to certain aspects of the administration of public services and justice, the chief purpose of the cantons today is to serve as Constituency, constituencies for the election of members of the representative assemblies established in each of France's territorial departments (Departmental council (France), departmental councils, formerly general councils). For this reason, such elections were known in France as "cantonal elections", until 2015 when their name was changed to "departmental elections" to match the departmental councils' name. Théziers
Théziers (; oc, Tesiers) is a commune in the Gard department in the Occitanie region in southern France. History Théziers was founded in the 6th century BC by Greek colonists, who, after they had founded the coastal town of Marseille (Greek: Μασσαλία), advanced inland to found smaller colonies in the periphery. The ancient name of the town was ''Tedusia'' (Greek: ''Θεδουσία''), under which the town was known during the Roman times. It was a fortified settlement situated on a hill, which was captured by the Celts during their invasions in the 2nd century BC. Gradually the Romans occupied the Gaul and expelled the Celts, while the settlement evolved as a Gallo-Roman village. Remoulins
Remoulins (; oc, Remolins) is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. The town lies on the River Gardon or Gard, and is a short distance downstream of the Roman aqueduct Pont du Gard, in nearby Vers-Pont-du-Gard. The current bridge over the Gardon in the town itself was completed in 1994, the successor to two previous suspension bridges. The remains of the first, built in 1830 by the Seguin brothers, are visible on the left bank. Population Transport Remoulins has a train station. Pouzilhac
Pouzilhac (; oc, Posilhac) is a French commune in the Gard department in southern France, formerly Languedoc-Roussillon. Geography Pouzilhac is situated on the right bank of the Rhone next to the route national 86 and its close access to the A7 motorway (Remoulins, Tavel, Bollène). The commune covers 16 km² and has 733 inhabitants since the last population census in 2018. Surrounded by the municipalities of Valliguières, La Capelle-et-Masmolène and Saint-Paul-les-Fonts, Pouzilhac is located 14 km southwest of Bagnols-sur-Cèze, the largest city in the area. Montfrin () is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. Population The residents are called ''Montfrinois'' in French. Geography Montfrin is located between Nîmes and Avignon, from Pont du Gard. The Gardon flows through the commune.
