The canton of Mérignac-2 is an administrative division of the Gironde department, southwestern France. It was created in 1982. Its borders were not modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Mérignac. The cantons of France are territorial subdivisions of the France, French Republic's Departments of France, departments and Arrondissements of France, arrondissements. Mérignac () is a Communes of France, commune in the Gironde Departments of France, department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. Martignas-sur-Jalle (; oc, Martinhàs de Jalas) is a commune in the Gironde department, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, southwestern France.
