Canton Of Le Sud-Est Agenais
The canton of Le Sud-Est agenais is an administrative division of the Lot-et-Garonne department, southwestern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Layrac. Cantons Of France
The cantons of France are territorial subdivisions of the France, French Republic's Departments of France, departments and Arrondissements of France, arrondissements. Apart from their role as organizational units in relation to certain aspects of the administration of public services and justice, the chief purpose of the cantons today is to serve as Constituency, constituencies for the election of members of the representative assemblies established in each of France's territorial departments (Departmental council (France), departmental councils, formerly general councils). For this reason, such elections were known in France as "cantonal elections", until 2015 when their name was changed to "departmental elections" to match the departmental councils' name. Lafox
Lafox is a commune in the Lot-et-Garonne department in south-western France. Geography It lies in the Garonne valley on the N113, the road from Bordeaux to Toulouse, to the east of Agen. It is connected to Agen by both the N113 and a cycle path beside the canal. The Séoune forms most of the commune's north-eastern border, flows west-southwestward through the middle of the commune, forms part of its western border, then flows into the Garonne, which forms the commune's southern border. Saint-Jean-de-Thurac (; Languedocien: ''Sent Joan de Turac'') is a commune in the Lot-et-Garonne department in south-western France. It lies to the east of the town of Agen. The departmental road D813 which leads eastward from Agen to Toulouse passes through the commune. There are no commercial premises in this commune and the district derives its name from a thirteenth-century Catholic church which lies just off the D813. Beside the church is an elementary school and the Mairie, or town hall, building.
