The canton of Gourin is an administrative division of the Morbihan department, northwestern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Gourin. Cantons Of France
The cantons of France are territorial subdivisions of the France, French Republic's Departments of France, departments and Arrondissements of France, arrondissements. Apart from their role as organizational units in relation to certain aspects of the administration of public services and justice, the chief purpose of the cantons today is to serve as Constituency, constituencies for the election of members of the representative assemblies established in each of France's territorial departments (Departmental council (France), departmental councils, formerly general councils). For this reason, such elections were known in France as "cantonal elections", until 2015 when their name was changed to "departmental elections" to match the departmental councils' name. Le Saint (; ) is a Communes of France, commune in the Morbihan Departments of France, department of Brittany (administrative region), Brittany in north-western France. Population The population has been divided by three since the first world war. Geography Le Saint is located in the northwestern part of Morbihan, north of Lorient. Historically, it belongs to Cornouaille. Le Saint is border by Gourin to the west and the north, by Langonnet and Le Faouët, Morbihan, Le Faouët to the east and by Guiscriff to the south. Priziac
Priziac (; ) is a commune in the Morbihan department of Brittany in north-western France. Population Inhabitants of Priziac are called in French ''Priziacois''. The commune's population has been divided by three within a century because of rural exodus. Geography Priziac is located in the northwestern part of the Morbihan, west of Pontivy and north of Lorient. Historically, it belongs to Vannetais. Near the village centre is the Bel Air lake, with an area of 54 hectares. Apart from the village centre, there are about one hundred hamlets. Most of the hamlets consist in two or three houses but others are larger. In the past, the hamlet of Botquenven had more inhabitants than the village of Priziac.
