Woincourt
Woincourt () is a commune in the Somme department in Hauts-de-France in northern France. Since 13 February 2020, the commune has been a part of the newly-created regional natural park of Baie de Somme - Picardie maritime. Toponymy Since 1100, the latinized form of ''Dominica curtis'' was listed in ''The Miracles of Saint Angilbert''. The name "Waincort" appeared in a 1223 cartulary of Fouilloy, Somme. A 1301 ''pouillé'', a type of ecclesiastical enumeration of a given geographical area, listed the name of the village as "Waincourt". "Wincourt" was cited in 1468, and finally local custom demonstrates use of "Woincourt" beginning in 1507.
