The canton of Beaucaire is an administrative division of the Gard department, southern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Beaucaire. The cantons of France are territorial subdivisions of the France, French Republic's Departments of France, departments and Arrondissements of France, arrondissements. Beaucaire (; Occitan and Provençal: ''Bèucaire'' ) is a commune in the Gard department in the Occitanie region of Southern France. In 2018, it had a population of 15,718. Its inhabitants are known as ''Beaucairois'' or ''Beaucairoises'' in French. In 2020, the commune was awarded one flower by the National Council of Towns and Villages in Bloom in the Competition of cities and villages in Bloom. Geography Beaucaire is located on the River Rhône some 15 km south-west of Avignon and 10 km north of Arles. Across the river from Beaucaire lies Tarascon, which is in Bouches-du-Rhône department of Provence. Access to the commune is by the D999 road from Jonquières-Saint-Vincent in the west which passes through the north of the commune and the town and continues east to Tarascon. Fourques, Gard
Fourques (; oc, Forcas) is a Communes of France, commune and a village in the southeastern corner of the Gard Departments of France, department in southern France, some north of Arles. The village is located at the confluence of the Rhone and the Little Rhone and sprang up adjoining a bridge across the latter built by the Romans. A historic suspension bridge was constructed across the Little Rhone early in the nineteenth century. Geography Fourques, meaning "fork", is located close to the Camargue delta at the point where the Little Rhone flows into the Rhone on the border between the Gard and the Bouches-du-Rhône. Vallabrègues
Vallabrègues (; oc, Valabrega) is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. Geography Vallabrègues is the only commune of the Gard department located on the left bank of the river Rhône. It is located opposite the part of the territory of the commune of Beaucaire close to the confluence of the Gardon. Its closest town is Tarascon, where the Festival of the Tarasque monster is held every year on the last Sunday of June. Vallabrègues is about a 20-minute drive from Tarascon.
