Canton Of Auzances
The Canton of Auzances is a canton situated in the Creuse département and in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of central France. Geography A farming and woodland area, with the town of Auzances, in the arrondissement of Aubusson, at its centre. The altitude varies from 390m ( Charron) to 776m (Chard) with an average altitude of 603m. Auzances
Auzances (; Auvergnat: ''Ausança'') is a commune in the Creuse department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in central France. Geography A small farming and light industrial town situated by the left bank of the river La Noisette, not far from the Cher, some northeast of Aubusson at the junction of the D4, D988 and D996 roads. The commune is served by local coaches. Mérinchal (; oc, Mairinchal) is a commune in the Creuse department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in central France. Geography A large area of farming, forestry, lakes and streams comprising several villages and hamlets situated some east of Aubusson, at the junction of the D27, D28 and the D31 roads and also on the D941. The commune has the department of Puy-de-Dôme on its eastern border and is also the source of the river Cher. Until 2008 the commune was served by two railway stations on the now closed line from Montluçon to Eygurande–Merlines.
