Cantiere navale fratelli Orlando (Orlando Brothers Shipyard) is a historical Italian shipyard in Livorno. History It was founded by Luigi Orlando and his brothers Giuseppe, Paolo and Salvatore who moved to Livorno from Genoa where in 1858 they had the management of Ansaldo which produced marine machines and cannons, in 1861 they directed the factory to the construction of ships. Cantiere Navale Fratelli Orlando Luigi Orlando on August 31, 1865 signed a thirty years concession for the buildings and the area of the former ''Lazzaretto di San Rocco'' (Saint Roch lazaret) which was transformed in an arsenal by Tommaso Mati in 1852. Azimut Yachts is an Italian yacht-manufacturing company based in Viareggio, Italy. It was established in 1969 by Paolo Vitelli (businessman), Paolo Vitelli. The company started with sailing boat chartering, later developing into a large luxury yacht building industry. Italian Cruiser Gorizia
''Gorizia'' was the third member of the of heavy cruisers to be built for the Italian ''Regia Marina'' (Royal Navy) in the 1930s. Named for the town of Gorizia, the ship was laid down at the OTO Livorno shipyard in March 1930, was launched in December that year and was commissioned into the fleet in December 1931. Armed with a main battery of eight guns, she was nominally within the limit imposed by the Washington Naval Treaty, though in reality she significantly exceeded this figure. During the ship's peacetime career, she frequently took part in fleet reviews. In 1934, she went on a tour with the royal yacht to eastern Africa, and she made another foreign cruise two years later to Germany during the 1936 Summer Olympics being held there.
