Assistive Cane
An assistive cane is a walking stick used as a crutch or mobility aid. A cane can help redistribute weight from a lower leg that is weak or painful, improve stability by increasing the base of support, and provide tactile information about the ground to improve balance. In the US, ten percent of adults older than 65 years use a cane, and 4.6 percent use walkers. In contrast to crutches, canes are generally lighter, but, because they transfer the load through the user's unsupported wrist, are unable to offload equal loads from the legs. Another type of crutch is the walker, a frame held in front of the user and which the user leans on during movement. Walkers are more stable due to their increased area of ground contact, but are larger and less wieldy and, like canes, pass the full load through the user's wrists in most cases. Caning is a form of corporal punishment consisting of a number of hits (known as "strokes" or "cuts") with a single Stick-fighting, cane usually made of rattan, generally applied to the offender's bare or clothed buttocks (see spanking) or hands (on the palm). Cane is any of various tall, perennial grasses with flexible, woody stalks from the genera ''Arundinaria'', Scientifically speaking, they are either of two genera from the family Poaceae. Mukalla ( ar, ٱلْمُكَلَّا, ') is a seaport and the capital city of Yemen's largest governorate, Hadhramaut. The city is in the southern part of the Arabian Peninsula on the Gulf of Aden, on the shores of the Arabian Sea, about east of Aden. It is the most important port in the Hadhramaut and the fifth-largest city in Yemen, with a population of approximately 500,000. The city is served by the nearby Riyan International Airport. Cane, La Paz
Cane is a municipality in the Honduran department of La Paz. The population of Cane is not exact, but is estimated to be around 4,000. The current mayor is Jose Tejeda, who is very popular among the community, as he has donated millions of US dollars to the creation of a lush central park stocked with trash cans, benches, and a taco bar. Tejeda is also in the process of paving the roads of Cane, which were originally all dirt. Cane is home to one early learning center, one primary school, and one secondary school. Students who choose to attend private school have the opportunity to travel by bus about 10 minutes to the department's capital, La Paz. Jarbas Faustinho (born 21 September 1939 in Rio de Janeiro) commonly known as just Cané () is a Brazilian former professional footballer and coach. Although born in Brazil, Cané played the majority of his football career in Italy. At club level he played as a winger for S.S.C. Napoli and Bari amongst many other teams. As a coach, he managed several clubs in the Province of Naples area. In 1975, played in the National Soccer League with Montreal Castors where he served as a player-coach.
