Candoni, officially the Municipality of Candoni ( hil, Banwa sang Candoni; ceb, Lungsod sa Candoni; tl, Bayan ng Candoni), formerly known as Tabla Valley, is a 4th class municipality in the province of Negros Occidental, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 23,751 people. Mercedes "Cheding" Kho Alvarez-Lansang is a Filipino politician who served as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines and represented the 6th district of Negros Occidental. Family members Rep. Alvarez is the daughter of former Vice Governor Genaro Alvarez Jr., himself a former representative of the district.
