Candace Jones
Candace Lynne "Candy" Jones (born March 20, 1955, in Kingston, Ontario) is a Canadian former pair skater. With her husband Don Fraser, she won gold medals at the Canadian Figure Skating Championships in 1975 and 1976 and competed in the 1976 Winter Olympics. They have also won a number of World Championships as professionals. There were known as the first couple to do a one-handed overhead lift, as well as a no-hands death spiral that has yet to be attempted by other pairs. Ice-skating career Jones has won gold medals in Figures, Free Skating, Dance and Pairs in various competitions. She was originally a single skater, but when the pair skater Don Fraser split from his regular partner, he asked Jones to be his pair skating partner after seeing her in a skating ring. Kingston, Ontario
Kingston is a city in Ontario, Canada. It is located on the north-eastern end of Lake Ontario, at the beginning of the St. Lawrence River and at the mouth of the Cataraqui River (south end of the Rideau Canal). Toller Cranston
Toller Shalitoe Montague Cranston, CM (April 20, 1949 – January 24, 2015) was a Canadian figure skater and painter. He won the 1971–1976 Canadian national championships, the 1974 World bronze medal and the 1976 Olympic bronze medal. Despite never winning at the World Figure Skating Championships due to his poor compulsory figures, he won the small medal for free skating at the 1972 and 1974 championships. Cranston is credited by many with having brought a new level of artistry to men's figure skating. Personal life Cranston was born in Hamilton, Ontario, in 1949 and grew up in Kirkland Lake. Skate Canada ( Canadian French: ''Patinage Canada'', lit. "Skating Canada") is the national governing body for figure skating in Canada, recognized by the International Skating Union and the Canadian Olympic Committee. The CrossFit Games is an annual athletic competition owned and operated by CrossFit, LLC. Athletes compete in a series of events at the Games, which may be various standard CrossFit workouts consisting of metabolic conditioning exercises, weightlifting, and gymnastics movements, as well as a range of activities from other sports such as swimming and cycling. Mathew Edward Fraser (born 1990) is a retired Canadian-American professional CrossFit athlete, competing from 2014 to 2020. Fraser is the first athlete to have won five CrossFit Games titles, winning the 2016 CrossFit Games, 2016, 2017 CrossFit Games, 2017, 2018 CrossFit Games, 2018, 2019 CrossFit Games, 2019, and 2020 CrossFit Games consecutively.
