	Canberra Royals The Canberra Royals Rugby Football Club is an Australian rugby union club, based in Canberra. Club history Canberra Royals has a proud tradition and identifies closely with the Royals Foundation Team of 1949. Our current Club Patron is life member, John Kelsey. Royals has produced over 20 Australian representatives including 11 Wallabies, 14 Wallaroos, and more than two dozen representatives Australia wide. The Club has featured in 70 percent of all grand finals since the establishment of rugby in Canberra, and has won 20 First Grade Premierships. The women's team has won 14 premierships contested to date and was undefeated in 2000 and 2001. Royals is renowned for its rugby innovation and a number of its former players, coaches and managers have gone on to establish careers in the Brumbies (which is an acknowledged world class organisation) and with interstate and overseas rugby clubs. picture info	ACT And Southern NSW Rugby Union The ACT and Southern NSW Rugby Union is the governing body for rugby union in the Australian Capital Territory and southern regions of New South Wales. The union is represented by one team in the Super Rugby competition, the Brumbies. The ACT is also home to the Canberra Vikings in the National Rugby Championship. History The union was founded in 1937 as the Federal Capital Territory Rugby Union (FCTRU). It became the Australian Capital Territory Rugby Union (ACTRU) in 1939, and eventually the ACT and Southern NSW Rugby Union. It received its current name prior to the 2005 Super 12 season, when the Far South Coast and Southern Inland unions of New South Wales joined the ACT and Monaro Rugby Unions. 	Phillip Oval Phillip Oval, known for sponsorship reasons as EPC Solar Park, is a sporting venue in Canberra, Australia. It is located in Phillip, in the district of Woden Valley. The ground is used for Australian rules football and cricket. The ground was upgraded in 2018, with a renovated pavilion, changing rooms, and the addition of floodlights and an electronic scoreboard. Usage Australian rules football Phillip Oval is viewed as the second tier ground for AFL in Canberra, after Manuka Oval. Canberra Football Club train and play home matches at the ground, and have increasingly moved to playing at Phillip Oval since its redevelopment in 2018. picture info	ACTRU Premier Division The ACTRU Premier Division is a rugby union club competition based in Canberra, Australia, and conducted by the region's governing body, the ACT and Southern NSW Rugby Union. It contains four Senior Grades of competition plus Colts, and is competed by the seven ACT Premier Division clubs, plus ADFA, which fields teams in Colts and 3rd Grade only. First Grade teams compete for the John I Dent Cup. The silver cup, which was first played for in 1938, was a gift to the union by the pastoralist John I Dent.
