Canary Wharf Squash Classic
The Canary Wharf Squash Classic is an annual international squash tournament for male professional players, held at the East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf, London, England. The event was first held in 2004, when it was an invitational event involving eight of the world's leading players. The tournament continued in the same format in 2005. In 2006, the Canary Wharf Classic became a Professional Squash Association (PSA) Tour tournament, with qualifying rounds and a main draw of 16 players. Thierry Lincou (born 2 April 1976, in La Réunion) is a retired professional squash player from France. He reached the World No. 1 ranking in January 2004. That year, Lincou won the World Open title, the Hong Kong Open and the Super Series Finals. He has been known as one of the greatest lateral movers in the game, as well as being one of the fittest players in the history of squash. John White (born 15 June 1973 in Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia) is a former World No. 1 squash player. Career overview White finished runner-up at both the World Open and the British Open in 2002. Cameron Pilley (born 27 October 1982) is a former professional squash player from Australia. He reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 11 in January 2011. Pilley was born in Grafton, New South Wales. From 2001 to 2005, he attended the Australian Institute of Sport on a squash scholarship, where he trained under Geoff Hunt and Rodney Martin. David Troy Palmer (born 28 June 1976 in Lithgow, New South Wales) is a retired professional squash player from Australia. James Willstrop (born 15 August 1983) is an English professional squash player living in Yorkshire, England. He was born in North Walsham, Norfolk, England.
