Canarian Nationalist Left ( es, Izquierda Nacionalista Canaria, INC) was a Canarian left-wing nationalist political party operating in the Canary Islands The Canary Islands (; es, Canarias, ), also known informally as the Canaries, are a Spanish autonomous community and archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, in Macaronesia. At their closest point to the African mainland, they are west of Morocc .... History INC emerged from the Canarian Nationalist Autonomous Confederation (CANC), and splinter group of the Canarian People's Union (UPC). In the Canarian regional election, 1987, 1987 Canarian elections INC run in a coalition with Canarian Assembly, gaining 46,229 votos (6.96%) and 2 seats. Canarian Nationalist Alternative ( es, Alternativa Nacionalista Canaria, ANC) is a Canarian left-wing nationalist political party, born in 2006 after a split of the People's Alternative for the Canary Islands (APC). Objectives The ANC seeks independence for the Canary Islands and building a more just and equitable economic and social order, based in socialism. The party also defends environmental sustainability, renewable energy and feminism. History The party was formed in 2006 by militants of the APC, that were against their integration into Alternativa Sí se puede por Tenerife, and some members of the Canarian Nationalist Party.
