Canal De La Haute-Seine
The Canal de la Haute-Seine is an abandoned canal in central France. It used to connect the navigable Seine at Marcilly-sur-Seine to Troyes. It was constructed between 1808 and 1846. Troyes () is a commune and the capital of the department of Aube in the Grand Est region of north-central France. It is located on the Seine river about south-east of Paris. Troyes is situated within the Champagne wine region and is near to the Orient Forest Regional Natural Park. Troyes had a population of 61,996 inhabitants in 2018. For reference purposes, all waterways are listed, including many that have been abandoned for navigation, mostly in the period 1925-1955, but some in later years.
