Canadians' Choice Party
The Canadians′ Choice Party (CCP) is a minor political party based in Ontario, Canada. The party is led by Bahman Yazdanfar. History The Canadians' Choice Party was founded on August 26, 2011 by Bahman Yazdanfar of Toronto. Yazdanfar, who immigrated to Canada from Iran in 1986, ran a small consulting firm for businesses until 2008, when the global economic recession caused him to close. After the failure of his business, Yazdanfar began a talk show on YouTube which interviewed subjects ranging from mainstream local figures to political extremists. In 2015, in response to public outcry over '' Your Ward News'', a local newspaper delivered to households in The Beaches that was banned by Canada Post for carrying anti-Semitic and racist content, Yazdanfar supported the publication, buying advertising in it and decrying the Ontario government's laying of criminal charges against the publication's publisher and editor for hate speech. Toronto Centre is a provincial electoral district in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Since 1999 it has elected one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. It was created in 1999 as Toronto Centre—Rosedale from most of St. George—St. David and parts of St. Andrew—St. Patrick, Fort York, when ridings were redistributed to match their federal counterparts. From 1999 to 2007 the riding included the area of Toronto from Avenue Road/University Avenue in the west to the Don River and the city limits in the east and the Mount Pleasant Cemetery and the CPR in the north. In 2007, the riding was abolished and redistributed mostly into Toronto Centre. It lost the area west of Yonge Street and south of College Street plus Toronto Island to Trinity—Spadina. Brantford—Brant (formerly just Brant) is a provincial electoral district in southwestern, Ontario, Canada. The district elects one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. It was created in 1999 from all of Brantford and part of Brant—Haldimand. It was created in 1996 from parts of Beaches—Woodbine (95%), Don Mills (40%), and York East (20%). The Progressive Canadian Party (PC Party) (french: Parti progressiste canadien) was a minor centre-right federal political party in Canada. It was registered with Elections Canada, the government's election agency, on March 29, 2004. Under provisions of the Canada Elections Act that took effect on May 14, 2004, parties were only required to nominate one candidate in order to qualify for official party status in the June 28, 2004 federal election. Dorian Baxter (born 3 April 1950) is a Canadian religious minister and musician and a perennial candidate for political office in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada.
