Canadian Pharmaceutical Society
Established in 1868, the ''Canadian Pharmacists Journal'' (''CPJ'') is the oldest continuously published periodical in Canada. This peer-reviewed journal is published 6 times per year, and features original research, clinical reviews, commentaries, evidence briefs, clinical practice guidelines and practice tools relating to advancing pharmacy practice towards patient-centred care and improving outcomes. The journal has a circulation of over 18,000. It is the official publication of the Canadian Pharmacists Association. History The journal was first published in May 1868 as the ''Canadian Pharmaceutical Journal'' by the Canadian Pharmaceutical Society. The founding editor-in-chief was E.B. Pharmacy Practice Research
Pharmacy practice research, also known as pharmacy research, is a specialty field within the wider area of health services research, which focuses on examining how and why people access pharmacy services, how much care costs, and what happens to patients as a result of this care. Its aim is to support evidence-based policy and practice decisions where pharmacists are employed or medicines are prescribed or used. Pharmacy In Canada
Pharmacy is the science and practice of discovering, producing, preparing, dispensing, reviewing and monitoring medications, aiming to ensure the safe, effective, and affordable use of medicines. It is a miscellaneous science as it links health sciences with pharmaceutical sciences and natural sciences. Scopus is Elsevier's abstract and citation database launched in 2004. Scopus covers nearly 36,377 titles (22,794 active titles and 13,583 inactive titles) from approximately 11,678 publishers, of which 34,346 are peer-reviewed journals in top-level subject fields: life sciences, social sciences, physical sciences and health sciences. It covers three types of sources: book series, journals, and trade journals. Emerging Sources Citation Index
The Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) is a citation index produced since 2015 by Thomson Reuters, and now by Clarivate. According to the publisher, the index includes "peer-reviewed publications of regional importance and in emerging scientific fields". The ESCI is accessible through the Web of Science, together with other Clarivate indexes. As of June 2021, all journals indexed in ESCI are also included within the Journal Citation Reports. While these journals still do not receive an impact factor, they do contribute citations to the calculation of other journals' impact factors.
