Canadian Journal Of Bioethics
The ''Canadian Journal of Bioethics'' (French: ''Revue canadienne de bioéthique'') is a peer-reviewed open-access academic journal hosted by the Bioethics Program at the School of Public Health, Université de Montréal. It covers all aspects of bioethics in French or English. The founding and current editor-in-chief is Bryn Williams-Jones (Université de Montréal). The journal was established in 2012 as ''BioéthiqueOnline'', obtaining its current title in 2018. Publishing and financing The journal publishes under a Creative Commons License, in collaboration with Université de Montréal Libraries and the non-profit consortium Érudit, and is supported by grants from the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), Érudit and the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN). Bryn Williams-Jones
Bryn Williams-Jones (born 1972) is a Canadian bioethicist, professor and Director of the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine at the School of Public Health, Université de Montréal. He is co-founder and editor-in-chief of the '' Canadian Journal of Bioethics/Revue canadienne de bioéthique'', the first open access bilingual bioethics journal in Canada (formerly called ''BioéthiqueOnline'', 2012–17), and co-director of the Ethics branch of the International Observatory on the Social Impact of AI and Digital Technology (OBVIA). ERIH PLUS (originally called the European Reference Index for the Humanities or ERIH) is an index containing bibliographic information on academic journals in the humanities and social sciences (SSH). Ulrich's Periodicals Directory (, and ) is the standard library directory and database providing information about popular and academic magazines, scientific journals, newspapers and other serial publications. The print version has been published since 1932, and was founded by Carolyn F. Ulrich, chief of the periodicals division of the New York Public Library as ''Periodicals Directory: A Classified Guide to a Selected List of Current Periodicals Foreign and Domestic''. Scopus is Elsevier's abstract and citation database launched in 2004. Scopus covers nearly 36,377 titles (22,794 active titles and 13,583 inactive titles) from approximately 11,678 publishers, of which 34,346 are peer-reviewed journals in top-level subject fields: life sciences, social sciences, physical sciences and health sciences. It covers three types of sources: book series, journals, and trade journals. All journals covered in the Scopus database are reviewed for sufficiently high quality each year according to four types of numerical quality measure for each title; those are ''h''-Index, CiteScore, SJR ( SCImago Journal Rank) and SNIP ( Source Normalized Impact per Paper).
