Canada West Football On Shaw
''Krown Produce Canada West Football on Shaw'' was a presentation of Canada West football aired on Shaw TV, Shaw Direct and Access7. In 2012, broadcasts were streamed on CanadaWest.tv. Shaw TV added to their network-wide sports coverage which offered only WHL games, with Canada West Football in 2006. The network broadcast six of eight weeks plus playoffs and Hardy Cup game through 2009. In 2010, Shaw TV began to cover a game every week, plus one of two semifinals and the Hardy Cup. In 2011, Shaw TV lost the Hardy Cup broadcast rights to TSN but began to cover both semifinal games. Prior to the 2012 season, Shaw and Canada West renewed their agreement for another three years. In 2012, Shaw sold the title sponsorship to Krown Produce of Saskatoon. Shaw broadcast a game of the week and two semifinals. TSN continued to broadcast the Hardy Trophy. Jim Mullin is a Vancouver-based broadcaster, producer and promoter. In June 2019, he was elected as President of Football Canada, the governing body for gridiron football at the amateur level. He was re-elected to the position for a second term in June 2022. In December 2021, he was acclaimed for the position of General Secretary of IFAF. He is the producer and host of Krown Gridiron Nation on The Sports Network. He also hosted and produced Krown Countdown U Radio on the TSN Radio Network. CJOB (680 kHz) is a commercial AM radio station in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It is owned and operated by Corus Radio and airs a news/talk format with news and sports programs. CJOB and its sister stations, CFPG-FM, CJKR-FM, and CKND-DT, have studios and offices at 201 Portage in Winnipeg. The transmitter tower array is located off Floodway Road near Saint Adolphe. CJOB operates at 50,000 watts (the highest power permitted for Canadian AM stations), but because 680 kHz is a clear channel frequency, CJOB must use a directional antenna at all times to avoid interfering with other stations. CKJH is a radio station licensed to Melfort, Saskatchewan. Owned by the Jim Pattison Group, it broadcasts an adult hits format branded as ''Beach Radio''. CKNW is a news/talk formatted radio station in Vancouver, British Columbia, owned by Corus Entertainment. It broadcasts on an assigned frequency of AM 980 kHz, and is unusual in that it is a 50,000-watt, Class A station broadcasting on a regional (not clear-channel) frequency. CKNW uses a four-tower directional antenna from a site near Surrey, while its studios are located at TD Tower in Downtown Vancouver. Matt Sheridan (born May 27, 1977 in Montreal, Quebec) is a professional Canadian football offensive lineman who is currently retired. He played eight seasons with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League and was twice named Winnipeg's Most Outstanding offensive lineman. Sheridan was born in Montreal, grew up in Winnipeg, and played CIS football for the Manitoba Bisons. Daved Benefield (born February 16, 1968) is a former professional American football player who played thirteen seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for five different teams. He also was a backup at linebacker and defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers in 1996. Career As a youngster growing up in Southern California, he surfed at Newport and Zuma north of Los Angeles. Jesse Lumsden (born August 3, 1982) is a Canadian Olympic bobsledder and a retired Canadian football player, who played for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Edmonton Eskimos and Calgary Stampeders.
