Sybil Grove
Sybil Grove was an English actress. She was born Sybil Marian Westmacott on 4 October 1891 in Teddington, Middlesex, and was also known as Sybil Wingrove. With reddish brown hair and standing 5'8", she trained at RADA and her stage debut was in 1927. She had seven years in the UK in straight plays, revues and musical comedies then seven years directing and playing in her own stock company in the Orient. She also worked in the United States. She died in 1957, aged 65, and was interred in Weston Super Mare Crematorium & Cemetery. Lewis Sargent (August 19, 1903 – November 19, 1970) was an American film actor. He appeared in 80 films between 1917 and 1949. Biography Sargent was born in Los Angeles on August 19, 1903. He had 8 brothers and sisters. His father Lewis was a carpenter, and his older brother, Don Sargent, was a cinematographer in Hollywood for more than 40 years. He was an early friend of James Wong Howe. His ancestor William Sargent sailed to Agawam, Massachusetts with Captain John Smith in 1614. Lewis W. Sargent was the third child of Lewis and Elsa Plath Sargent. He was a child actor in the early days of motion pictures until 1935 when he portrayed Major Francis Martling's assistant George in ''The New Adventures of Tarzan'', produced by its creator Edgar Rice Burroughs. This serial was shot in Guatemala. Leo White (November 10, 1882 – September 20, 1948), Leo Weiss, was a German-born British-American film and stage actor who appeared as a character actor in many Charlie Chaplin films. Biography Born in Germany, White grew up in England where he began his stage career. He was brought to the United States under the aegis of Daniel Frohman, a Broadway producer. He started his film career in 1911 and in 1913 moved to the Essanay Studios. In 1915, he began appearing in Chaplin's comedies and continued through Chaplin's Mutual Film comedies. His last appearance in a Chaplin film was a small role in ''The Great Dictator'', released in 1940. White also acted in and directed '' Triple Trouble'' (1918), Essanay's last Chaplin release. Chaplin himself acknowledged ''Triple Trouble'' in his autobiography but did not actually participate in its production. (White filmed new scenes around existing footage of Chaplin.)
