Campus High School is a public high school in Wichita, Kansas serving students in grades 9-12. Despite being located within the Wichita city limits, Campus is part of Haysville USD 261. The current principal is David Morford. The school colors are black and white with an accent of gold. The current enrollment is 1,742 students. Campus High School is a member of the Kansas State High School Activities Association and offers a variety of sports programs. Athletic teams compete in the 6A division and are known as the "Colts". Extracurricular activities are also offered in the form of performing arts, school publications, and clubs. The school layout features a college "campus" type courtyard with sidewalks going to each end of the building, and a clock-tower with a bell underneath. The Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) is the organization which oversees interscholastic competition in the U.S. state of Kansas at the high school, high-school level. It oversees both athletic and non-athletic competition, and sponsors championships in several sports and activities. As early as 1910, Kansas schools organized the statewide Debate League and Athletic Association governed by high school principals. Track and field is a sport that includes athletic contests based on running, jumping, and throwing skills. International Thespian Society
The International Thespian Society (ITS) is an honor society for high school and middle school theatre students. It is a division of the Educational Theatre Association. Thespian troupes serve students in grades 9–12; Junior Thespian troupes serve students in grades 6 through 8. A few famous ITS alumni include Tom Hanks, Val Kilmer, James Marsters, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Stephen Schwartz. Festivals are held annually at the state and national levels. Each June the organization holds the International Thespian Festival. For 25 years it was held at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
