Campitello Matese
Campitello Matese is an Italian civil parish (''frazione'') and ski resort, part of the municipality of San Massimo in the province of Campobasso, Molise region. History Still 1960s Campitello had only a building used as shelter for shepherds. In the 1970s it started the realization of the first plants to transform it in a ski resort. Geography Campitello lies nearby Miletto mountain, part of the Matese mountain range, close to the borders of Molise with Campania. Nearest municipalities are San Massimo, Bojano, Cantalupo nel Sannio and San Gregorio Matese ( CE, at the southeast side of the mountains. 1988 Giro D'Italia
The 1988 Giro d'Italia was the 71st running of the race. It started in Urbino, on 23 May, with a individual time trial and concluded in Vittorio Veneto, on 12 June, with a individual time trial. Alberto Fernández (cyclist)
Alberto Fernández Blanco (15 January 1955 - 14 December 1984) was a Spanish road racing cyclist. His son Alberto Fernández Sainz is also a road racing cyclist. Fernández was born in Cuena, Cantabria. As an amateur, he won the Spanish mountain bike championships, and turned professional in 1978. During his career, he was nicknamed ''el Galleta'' ("the Biscuit"), because the town where he lived, Aguilar de Campoo, had several biscuit factories. Fernández tested positive for the stimulant Methylphenidate (Ritalin) on stage 17 of the 1982 Vuelta a España. His best results came during the last two years of his career. He finished 10th overall in the 1982 Tour de France, and 3rd in his first appearance in the 1983 Giro d'Italia. He also finished 3rd in the 1983 Vuelta a España, improving to 2nd in 1984, only 6 seconds behind winner Éric Caritoux (the smallest winning margin in any of the Grand Tours). Bernard Hinault
Bernard Hinault (; born 14 November 1954) is a French former professional road cyclist. With 147 professional victories, including five times the Tour de France, he is often named among the greatest cyclists of all time. In his career, Hinault entered a total of thirteen Grand Tours. Carlo Chiappano
Carlo Chiappano (16 March 1941 – 7 July 1982) was an Italian racing cyclist. He won stage 10 of the 1969 Giro d'Italia. He also won the 1969 Tirreno–Adriatico. He rode in nine editions of the Giro d'Italia, as well as three editions of the Tour de France.
