''Campion'' is a British mystery television series which first aired on the BBC in two series between 1959 and 1960. It is adaptation of two novels by Margery Allingham, ''Dancers in Mourning'' (1937) and ''Death of a Ghost'' (1934) featuring the fictional detective Albert Campion. ''Dancers in Mourning'' is a crime novel by English writer Margery Allingham, first published in 1937, in the United Kingdom by Heinemann, London and in the United States by Doubleday Doran, New York City; later U.S. versions used the title ''Who Killed Chloe?''. Olive Sloane (16 December 1896 – 28 June 1963) was an English actress whose film career spanned over 40 years from the silent era through to her death. Walter Sydney Vinnicombe (26 September 1888 – 27 October 1970) was an English actor and comedian. He worked in film, television and theatre. Biography Vinnicombe was born in Willesden, Middlesex and began working on the music hall stages in 1912 and at regular theatres in 1938 at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
