Campeonato Baiano (lower Levels)
The Campeonato Baiano Second Division are the second tier level of the football tournaments for the Bahia state league. The competitions are organized by the Bahia Football Federation. Usually, the champions of a division are promoted in the next year to the immediately upper level. History The Second Level of the Bahia State Championship is competed since 1922, and was not held from 1924 to 1934, in 1938, from 1942 to 1964, in 1966, in 1969, in 1970, from 1972 to 1974, from 1976 to 1980 and in 2005. Competition format The 2020 Second Level was competed by six clubs which played against each other twice. The two best placed clubs qualified to the final. In the final the two clubs played against each other twice, and the champion of the competition was promoted to the following year's first level. Juazeiro
Juazeiro, formerly also known as Joazeiro, is a municipality in the state of Bahia, in the northeastern region of Brazil. The city is twinned with Petrolina, in the state of Pernambuco. The two cities are connected by a modern bridge crossing the São Francisco River. Juazeiro Social Clube, usually known as Juazeiro is a Brazilian football club from Juazeiro, Bahia state. History On August 16, 1995, Juazeiro Social Clube was founded as a professional club after eight amateur clubs, América, Barro Vermelho, Carranca, Colonial, Grêmio, Olaria, XV de Novembro and Veneza, merged. Associação Desportiva Jequié, known as Jequié, are a Brazilian football team from Jequié, Bahia. The club competes in the Campeonato Baiano, after winning the second division in 2017. History Founded on 20 November 1969, Jequié featured regularly in the Campeonato Baiano first division during the 70s, being relegated in 1980. Jacobina
Jacobina is a city in the Centro Norte Baiano mesoregion of Bahia. It was founded July 28, 1722 and the population is 80,635. The town is surrounded by mountains, hills, lakes, rivers, springs, and waterfalls. Itabuna is a municipality in Bahia, Brazil. It is the 6th largest city in Bahia by population after Salvador, Feira de Santana, Camaçari, Vitória da Conquista, and Juazeiro.
