Campaign For The North
Campaign for the North was a Think Tank which seeks to address the North-South Divide and establish a Regional Government for the North of England covering the six historic counties of the region. The Campaign promoted a devo-max settlement and, in doing so, aimed to create a Northern Government with tax-raising powers and responsibility for policy areas including economic development, education, health, policing and emergency services. Nver decides to seize the opportunity and organizes a party for his friends at the client's luxurious mansion. During the party, a statue of Lambert's father falls and breaks. Northern Independence Party
The Northern Independence Party (NIP) is a minor secessionist and democratic socialist political party that seeks to make Northern England an independent nation, under the name of Northumbria. Founded in October 2020 by lecturer and former Labour activist Philip Proudfoot, the party has no elected representatives. The party leadership position has been vacant since Proudfoot's resignation on 22 July 2022. History The NIP was formed on 22 October 2020 by Philip Proudfoot, an international development studies lecturer at the University of Sussex and former Labour Party activist from County Durham, along with his colleague Evie McGovern and other former Labour activists who were alienated by what they saw as Keir Starmer's move towards the centre as leader of the party. John Stevens (English Politician)
John Christopher Courtenay Stevens (born 23 May 1955) is a British politician. A Conservative Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from 1989 to 1999, he contested the Buckingham constituency in the 2010 general election as an independent, against Commons speaker John Bercow and came second with 10,331 votes (21.4%) compared to Bercow's 22,860 (47.3%). Background Stevens was educated at Winchester, where he won the Boxing Cup, and at Magdalen College, Oxford, taking a third class honours degree in law. He then worked as a foreign exchange and bond trader for Morgan Grenfell. He was the Conservative Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for Thames Valley from 1989 to 1999, before leaving the party in protest over its increasingly Eurosceptic positioning. Wessex Regionalists
The Wessex Regionalists are a minor English regionalist political party in the United Kingdom. It seeks a degree of legislative and administrative home rule for Wessex, an area in the south and south-west of England loosely based on the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of the same name. The party has contested a small number of Wessex-area parliamentary constituencies in most elections since it was established, but without success.
