Camilus Alexander
Camilus Christopher Alexander (born 20 October 1981) is a Grenadian cricketer who has played for the Windward Islands in West Indian domestic cricket. He plays as a right-arm leg-spin bowler. Alexander was born in Mount Horne, in Grenada's Saint Andrew Parish. Aged 17, he represented the West Indies under-19s at the 2000 World Cup, playing in three of his team's seven matches. Alexander's best performance at the tournament was 3/49 against New Zealand. He made his first-class debut a few months later, playing a single match for the West Indies under-23s against the touring Pakistanis. The Leeward Islands cricket team is a first class cricket team representing the member countries of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association, an associate of the West Indies Cricket Board. Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla, Montserrat, British Virgin Islands, US Virgin Islands and Sint Maarten are members of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association. 2017 ICC World Cricket League Division Three
2017 ICC World Cricket League Division Three was a cricket tournament that took place in Uganda between 23 and 30 May 2017. The matches took place in Lugogo, Kyambogo and Entebbe. The top two teams, Oman and Canada, were promoted to Division Two. The final ended as a no result due to rain, and therefore Oman won the tournament by virtue of finishing top of the group stage table. Three countries bid to host the tournament – Canada, Malaysia, and Uganda. In October 2016, the International Cricket Council (ICC) approved a proposal for the tournament to be held in Uganda, subject to security arrangements and costs. Two ICC officials toured the country in December 2016, meeting with the country's First Lady, Janet Museveni, and Prime Minister, Ruhakana Rugunda. United States National Cricket Team
The United States national cricket team is the team that represents the United States in international cricket. The team was formerly organised by the United States of America Cricket Association (USACA), which became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1965. In June 2017, the USACA was expelled by the ICC due to governance and financing issues, with the U.S. team being temporarily overseen by ICC Americas until a new sanctioning body was established. In January 2019, associate membership was officially granted to USA Cricket. A U.S. representative team participated in the first international cricket match, played against Canada in 1844. Johnson Charles (born 14 January 1989) is a St Lucian international cricketer who plays for the West Indies. As a wicketkeeper-batsman, Charles started his ODI career against Australia in March 2012. His first T20I came against England in September 2011, and he became just the second cricketer from the island of St Lucia to play for the West Indies (the first was Darren Sammy, who was captain in Charles' international debut). Nightwatchman (cricket)
In the sport of cricket, a nightwatchman is a lower-order batsman who comes in to bat higher up the order than usual near the end of the day's play. The nightwatchman's job is to maintain most of the strike until the close of play (remaining in overnight after the end of the day's play, hence the name) and so protect other, more capable batsmen from being out cheaply in what may be a period of tiredness or in poor light at the end of the day, and then again the following morning when the batsmen have not yet ‘got their eye in', or when the early-morning conditions may favour the bowlers. The theory is that losing two top-order batsmen in quick succession would be worse than losing one top-order batsman and a tailender. However the nightwatchman's effort is not considered to be wasted, nor are they expected to play foolishly; otherwise they would not last very long. The 2008–09 Regional Four Day Competition was the 43rd domestic first-class cricket tournament held in the West Indies, it took place from 9 January 2009 – 14 April 2009. Each team played the other twice, one played at home and the other away. Jamaica won the tournament after finishing top of the table with seven wins from their twelve matches. It was their 2nd tournament win in succession and their 9th overall.
