Camilo Santana
Camilo Sobreira de Santana (born 3 June 1968) is a Brazilian agricultural engineer and politician, affiliated to the Workers' Party (PT). He has a bachelor's degree in agricultural engineering from the Federal University of Ceará and a master's degree in Development and Environment from the same university. As an undergraduate, he held the director function UFC Students of Central Directory. He was Secretary of Agrarian Development of the State of Ceará in the government of Cid Gomes, from 1 February 2007 to 31 December 2010, as well as Secretary of Cities in the same government. He was voted the most voted state deputy of Ceará in October 2010, with 131,171 votes. He was governor of the state of Ceará until 2 April 2022, when he resigned in order to run for Federal Senate. Brazilian Federal Senate
The Federal Senate ( pt, Senado Federal) is the upper house of the National Congress of Brazil. When created under the Imperial Constitution in 1824, it was based on the House of Lords of the British Parliament, but since the Proclamation of the Republic in 1889 and under the first republican Constitution the Federal Senate has resembled the United States Senate. Fernando Haddad (born 25 January 1963) is a Brazilian academic and politician who has served as the Brazilian Minister of Finance since 1 January 2023. He was previously the Mayor of São Paulo from 2013 to 2016. He was the Workers' Party candidate for President of Brazil in the 2018 election, replacing former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, whose candidacy was barred by the Superior Electoral Court under the Clean Slate law. Haddad faced Jair Bolsonaro in the run-off of the election, and lost the election with 44.87% of the votes against Bolsonaro's 55.13%. The Democratic Labour Party ( pt, Partido Democrático Trabalhista, PDT) is a social-democratic political party in Brazil. History The Democratic Labour Party (PDT) was founded in 1979 by left-wing leader Leonel Brizola as an attempt to reorganise the Brazilian left-wing forces during the end of the Brazilian military dictatorship.
