Cameron Mitchell (American Football)
Cameron Mitchell (born September 8, 2001) is an American professional football cornerback for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Northwestern. Early life Mitchell grew up in Bolingbrook, Illinois and attended Bolingbrook High School. College career Mitchell played in four games during his true freshman season at Northwestern before redshirting. He became a starter as a redshirt sophomore and was named honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference after making 48 tackles and breaking up six passes. Mitchell repeated as a honorable mention All-Big Ten as a redshirt junior. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. The cornerback position requires speed, agility, strength, and the ability to make rapid sharp turns.
