Cameron Menzies
Cameron Menzies (born 27 June 1989) is a Scottish darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. A PDC Tour Card holder since 2022, Menzies has won two PDC ranking titles in Players Championship events. He reached his first PDC major quarter-final at the 2024 Grand Slam. Menzies previously participated in British Darts Organisation (BDO) and World Darts Federation (WDF) events. He reached the semi-finals at the 2017 Winmau World Masters and the 2022 Lakeside World Championship. Career BDO career Menzies first played darts on the BDO circuit in 2006, playing in the Gibraltar Open. However, he did not emerge to prominence until 2016 where he won the British Open. 2024 Players Championship Finals
The 2024 Players Championship Finals (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2024 Ladbrokes Players Championship Finals) was the sixteenth staging of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) darts tournament, which saw the top 64 players from the 2024 PDC Players Championship series taking part. The tournament took place from 22 to 24 November 2024 at the Butlin's Resort, Minehead. Luke Humphries was the defending champion after defeating Michael van Gerwen 11–9 in the 2023 final and successfully defended his title to win the tournament for a second time, with an 11–7 victory over Luke Littler in the final. Krzysztof Ratajski (Polish pronunciation: ; born 1 January 1977) is a Polish professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He previously participated in British Darts Organisation (BDO) tournaments; his biggest achievement in the BDO was winning the 2017 World Masters. In the PDC, Ratajski has won eleven ranking titles on the PDC Pro Tour; including two PDC European Tours. He reached the semi-finals at the 2021 World Matchplay. Gary James Grant Anderson (born 22 December 1970) is a Scottish professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events, where he is currently ranked world number thirteen; he reached a peak ranking of world number two from 2015 to 2017. Anderson is a former British Darts Organisation (BDO) and World Darts Federation (WDF) world number one. Nicknamed "the Flying Scotsman", after the famous steam train, he is a two-time, back-to-back PDC World Champion, having won the title in 2015 and 2016, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport. The 2016 Winmau World Masters was a major tournament on the BDO/ WDF calendar for 2016. It took place from 1–4 December at the Lakeside Country Club, which hosted the stage element of the event for the first time. British Darts Organisation
The British Darts Organisation (BDO) was a darts organisation founded on 7 January 1973 by Olly Croft, and dissolved in 2020 under the stewardship of Des Jacklin. Made up of 66 member counties, it oversaw professional, semi-professional and amateur darts competitions in Britain. The BDO was a founder member of the World Darts Federation in 1974. It also staged a World Professional Darts Championship from 1978 to 2020. In the early 1990s, a dispute between Olly Croft and the top darts players over the decline in TV coverage and sponsorship led to an acrimonious split in the game, with the players breaking away to form their own governing body which became the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). The PDC Pro Tour is a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). They comprise Professional Dart Players Association (PDPA) Players Championships and European Tour events. Only four players have gone on to win at least 30 titles on the PDC Pro Tour. 2025 PDC Players Championship Series
The 2025 PDC Players Championship series is an ongoing series of 34 non-televised darts tournaments on the 2025 PDC Pro Tour. The Players Championship Order of Merit, a ranking list that only includes the prize money won by each player in the Players Championship events, will determine the field of participants in the premier event 2025 Players Championship Finals. The top 64 players on this ranking qualify will qualify for the major tournament held in November. The number of events will increase by four compared to the four previous years, bringing the total to thirty-four Players Championship events.
