picture info	Central Aircraft Manufacturing Company The Central Aircraft Manufacturing Company (CAMCO; ), also known as the Loiwing Factory (雷允飛機製造廠) after they moved to Yunnan, was a Chinese aircraft manufacturer established by American entrepreneur William D. Pawley in the 1930s. History Starting in 1933, CAMCO assembled (probably from factory-supplied kits) about 100 Hawk II and Hawk III fighter-bombers in a factory at Hangzhou Jianqiao Airport. The planes had originally been designed as scout bombers for the U.S. Navy. They served as the backbone of the Chinese Air Force during the first year of the Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945). Former Boeing engineer Wang Zhu served as chief of engineering in CAMCO from 1934-37. As Nationalist Chinese forces were driven back from the coast in the winter of 1937-38, CAMCO retreated with them. 	Capital Acquisitions And Management Corporation Capital Acquisitions and Management Corporation (CAMCO) was a United States debt collection agency and subsidiary of Risk Management Financial Services, Inc., that was fined and closed down for repeated violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). Its closure marked the first time a Federal Trade Commission investigation shut down a collection company. CAMCO was a debt buyer focused on long overdue accounts - sometimes over a decade old, i.e. well beyond the statute of limitations - that it purchased for less than a penny on the dollar. Its employees would contact debtors by phone to collect funds. Consumers complained that collectors were calling late at night and/or using threatening language. Consumers also complained that they often had never heard of the supposed debt. 	Camco Drum Company The Camco Drum Company is a musical instrument brand currently owned by Japanese company Hoshino Gakki. Camco was originally a drum hardware manufacturing company which began producing drums after a hostile takeover of the George H. Way drum company in 1961. Camco was active until its closure in 1977, with its assets purchased by Drum Workshop while Hoshino Gakki took over rights over the Camco name. History During its roughly 17-year history, the company had three locations –Oak Lawn, Illinois, from 1961 until 1971, Chanute, Kansas (when they were briefly owned by Kustom) from 1971 till 1973 and then finally in Los Angeles until 1977/78 and the company's demise.
