Cambusdoon New Ground is a cricket ground located in Ayr, Scotland. It is the home of Ayr Cricket Club and hosted three One Day Internationals (ODI) in August 2006 as part of the European Cricket Championship tournament. History In 2006, Cambusdoon and Mannofield were Scottish grounds to be formally approved by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to host One Day International matches. Alloway
Alloway ( gd, Allmhaigh, ) is a village in South Ayrshire, Scotland, located on the River Doon. It is best known as the birthplace of Robert Burns and the setting for his poem "Tam o' Shanter". Tobias Bachope, the mason responsible for the construction of Hopetoun House, Craigiehall, and Kinross House, also hailed from Alloway. Some historic parts of the village make up a conservation area. The village and surrounding areas were incorporated into the Royal Burgh of Ayr in 1935, and the extended village is now a suburb of Ayr. The Netherlands national cricket team (Dutch: Nederlandse cricket team) is the men's team that represents the Kingdom of the Netherlands and is administered by the Royal Dutch Cricket Association. Joshua Henry Davey (born 3 August 1990) is a Scottish cricketer, who plays for Somerset County Cricket Club having previously played for Middlesex as well as representing his country in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium pace bowler. He was educated at South Lee Prep School and then Culford School, in Suffolk. Mohammad Shahzad
Mohammad Shahzad Mohammadi ( ps, ; born 10 January 1988) is an Afghan cricketer. He a right-handed opening batsman who also plays as a wicketkeeper. He made his international debut for Afghanistan in August 2009. Shahzad was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Afghanistan's first ever Test match, against India, in June 2018. Shahzad also has a rare record - scoring an ODI hundred in a lowest team score - by reaching an ODI century at a point when Afghanistan's score (against India in the Asia Cup 2018) was just 131, thus equalling Pakistan's Shahid Afridi's previous record. Karim Khan Sadiq ( ps, كريم خان صادق; born 28 February 1984) is an Afghan cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman who occasionally fields as a wicket-keeper for the Afghan national team. He can also bowl off break, taking 4/27 against Denmark in their first match of 2009 ICC World Cup Qualifier. Cricket Scotland, formerly known as the Scottish Cricket Union, is the Sport governing body, governing body of the sport of cricket in Scotland. The Grange Club
The Grange Club is a cricket and sports club in the Stockbridge district of Edinburgh, Scotland. The cricket ground, commonly known as The Grange, is the regular home of the Scotland national cricket team, and is situated adjacent to the Edinburgh Academy sports ground, which is in Raeburn Place. History The Grange Club was founded in 1832, in The Grange district of Edinburgh. In 1872 it moved to its current location at Raeburn Place in the Stockbridge district and has hosted out of its pavilion since 1894. World Cricket League
The ICC World Cricket League (WCL) was a series of international one-day cricket tournaments for national teams without Test status (i.e., teams of Associate status) administered by the International Cricket Council. All Associate Members of the ICC were eligible to compete in the league system, which featured a promotion and relegation structure between divisions. The league system had two main aims: to provide a qualification system for the Cricket World Cup that could be accessed by all Associate Members and as an opportunity for these sides to play international one-day matches against teams of similar standards.
