Francisco Caló
Francisco António Galinho Caló (5 September 1946 – 12 July 2021) was a Portuguese professional Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football)#Centre-back, central defender. Club career Born in Montemor-o-Novo, Évora District, Caló joined Sporting CP in 1965 at the age of 18. He was irregularly used in his seven-year spell with the Lisbon club, also being loaned to fellow Primeira Liga team U.F.C.I. Tomar in the 1968–69 Primeira Divisão, 1968–69 season. Caló contributed a total of 30 games and one goal to two national championship conquests, in 1965–66 Primeira Divisão, 1966 and 1969–70 Primeira Divisão, 1970. He also won the 1971 Taça de Portugal Final, 1971 Taça de Portugal against S.L. Miguel Caló (October 28, 1907 – May 24, 1972) was a famous tango bandoneonist, composer, and the leader of the ''Orchestra Miguel Caló''. He was born in Balvanera, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Early years Born in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Balvanera, he studied violin and bandoneon, working with important orchestras beginning in 1926. With His Own Orchestras Caló formed his first orchestra in 1929, which he then dissolved in order to join the orchestra of the pianist and poet, Cátulo Castillo, with whom he toured in Spain. Carlos Pedro Silva Morais (born 21 March 1976), commonly known as Caló, is a Cape Verdean retired footballer who played as a left winger. Club career Caló was born in Praia, bouncing back between clubs in his country and in the Portuguese lower leagues in his early career. In 2000 he signed for S.C. Salgueiros in the Primeira Liga of the latter nation, being sparingly used during two seasons and suffering relegation in his second. Subsequently, Caló moved countries again, spending several years in Qatar in representation of two teams, mainly Al Ahli SC (Doha).
