Calvin Sinclair Lowry (born February 13, 1983) is an American football coach and former player. Early years Lowry starred at wide receiver and defensive back at Douglas Byrd High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Playing career He played professionally as a safety for the Tennessee Titans, Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions, and Omaha Nighthawks. He was drafted by the Titans in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL Draft The 2006 National Football League Draft, the 71st in league history, took place in New York City, New York, at Radio City Music Hall on April 29 and April 30, 2006. In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. They are distinguished from the other two sets of defensive players, the defensive linemen who play directly on the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers, who play in the middle of the defense, between the defensive line and the defensive backs.
