Cally Beaton
Caroline Beaton (born 17 March 1969) is a British stand-up comedian, podcaster, writer and former TV executive. Early life Beaton grew up in Dorset, the daughter of two teachers and was the only girl in an Single-sex education, all boys school. She studied English and Drama at Goldsmiths, University of London, Goldsmiths and is a Master Practitioner in neuro-linguistic programming. Career Beaton worked as a TV executive at MTV and Carlton Television, Carlton TV responsible for shows including ''South Park'' and ''SpongeBob SquarePants'' and as a senior vice president at Viacom (2005–present), Viacom. While working at Comedy Central in 2015 she began performing as a stand-up comedian. A comedian or comic is a person who seeks to entertain an audience by making them laugh. The Now Show
''The Now Show'' is a British radio comedy broadcast on BBC Radio 4, which satirises the week's news. The show is a mixture of stand-up, sketches and songs hosted by Steve Punt and Hugh Dennis. The show used to feature regular appearances by Jon Holmes, Laura Shavin (earlier series had Emma Kennedy, or occasionally Sue Perkins, for the female voices), a monologue by Marcus Brigstocke, and music by Mitch Benn, Pippa Evans or Adam Kay, but now features a much wider range of contributors. ''Countdown'' is a British game show involving word and number tasks that began airing in November 1982. It is broadcast on Channel 4 and is currently presented by Colin Murray, assisted by Rachel Riley, with resident lexicographer Susie Dent. Funny Women
Funny Women is an online and in-person workshop community dedicated to the support of female comedians. It was founded by Lynne Parker in 2002 as a reaction to misogynistic comments from a comedy promoter. Funny Women helps women find their voice, promote them, and assists charities. During the 2019 Funny Women Awards Final, Funny Women announced that their new Patron (renamed “Matron”), would be Jo Brand. Live events Funny Women runs "Stand Up to Stand Out" comedy workshops hosted by Parker. In 2013, Funny Women hosted the first Workshop Weekend at the women-only business club B.Hive in Covent Garden. Yann Moix (, ; born 31 March 1968) is a French author, film director and television presenter. He is the author of ten novels and the recipient of several literary prizes. He has directed three films. He was a columnist on ''On n'est pas couché''. Early life Yann Moix was born on 31 March 1968 in Nevers, France. Catherine Bohart
Catherine Bohart (; born Catherine Murphy 13 August 1988) is an Irish stand-up comedian, writer and actor based in the United Kingdom. Early life Bohart grew up in Clonsilla, Fingal, part of the greater Dublin area, the daughter of a Catholic deacon. She has obsessive–compulsive disorder and was hospitalised in St Patrick's University Hospital for four months. She studied law at UCD for one year before dropping out. She then studied French and History at Trinity College. Bohart then went on to the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, receiving an MA in Acting for Screen.
