Callum Jackson
Callum Frederick Jackson (born 7 September 1994) is an English professional cricketer who played most recently as a wicket-keeper for Kent County Cricket Club. Jackson made his first-class cricket debut for Sussex County Cricket Club in a three-day match against a touring Australian side in July 2013, having made his professional debut in Twenty20 matches earlier in the same month. Eastbourne
Eastbourne () is a town and seaside resort in East Sussex, on the south coast of England, east of Brighton and south of London. Eastbourne is immediately east of Beachy Head, the highest chalk sea cliff in Great Britain and part of the larger Eastbourne Downland Estate. The seafront consists largely of Victorian hotels, a pier, theatre, contemporary art gallery and a Napoleonic era fort and military museum. Ravinder Singh Bopara (born 4 May 1985) is an English cricketer who plays for Sussex County Cricket Club in one day cricket. Originally a top-order batsman, his developing medium pace bowling has made him a batting all rounder in the one day game. Hamish Duncan Rutherford (born 27 April 1989) is a New Zealand cricketer who plays first-class cricket for Otago and represents New Zealand in international cricket. Gregory Marc Smith (born 20 April 1983) is a British-South African former cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler who formerly played for Essex. Essex County Cricket Club
Essex County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Essex. Founded in 1876, the club had minor county status until 1894 when it was promoted to first-class status pending its entry into the County Championship in 1895, since then the team has played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England. 2013 Friends Life T20
The 2013 Twenty20 Cup (known for sponsorship reasons as the Friends Life t20) was the fourth season of the Friends Life t20 Twenty20 English cricket competition. The competition ran from 26 June to 17 August 2013. The teams and format of the tournament remained the same as the previous season. Northamptonshire Steelbacks were champions, defeating Surrey in the final to win their first limited overs trophy since 1992. Format The 18 teams were divided into three groups of six and each group played a double round-robin tournament. Ben Brown (cricketer)
Ben Christopher Brown (born 23 November 1988) is an English cricketer who plays for Hampshire County Cricket Club and played for England under-19s. He is a wicket-keeper and right-handed batsman. Brown served as captain of Sussex (2018–2021) after Luke Wright stepped down from the role. Brown was born in Crawley, West Sussex and educated at Ardingly College where he met his current wife, Katie Ryan-Brown. The 2013 Ashes series (known as the Investec 2013 Ashes Series for sponsorship reasons) was a series of Test cricket matches contested between England and Australia for the Ashes. Matt Prior
Matthew James Prior (born 26 February 1982) is a South African-born English former cricketer, who played for England in Test cricket and for Sussex County Cricket Club in domestic cricket. He was a wicket-keeper and his aggressive right-handed batting enabled him to open the innings in ODI matches, even when he made very limited appearance in shorter forms of the game. With an international Test debut score of 126, Prior became the first English wicket-keeper to hit a century in his debut match in early 2007. His glovework, however, was criticised. Despite a successful tour of Sri Lanka with the bat, Prior's keeping was less successful, and he was dropped from the team for the 2008 tour of New Zealand. A One Day International (ODI) is a form of limited overs cricket, played between two teams with international status, in which each team faces a fixed number of overs, currently 50, with the game lasting up to 9 hours. The Cricket World Cup, generally held every four years, is played in this format. One Day International matches are also called Limited Overs Internationals (LOI), although this generic term may also refer to Twenty20 International matches.
