John Bryn Williams (born 1977), known as John B, is an English disc jockey and electronic music producer. He is widely recognised for his eccentric clothing and wild hair and his production of several cutting edge drum and bass tracks. Edward Stanly
Edward W. Stanly (January 10, 1810 – July 12, 1872) was an American lawyer and politician. He was a North Carolina politician and orator who represented the southeastern portion of the state in the United States House of Representatives for five terms. In 1857, Stanly ran for Governor of California, but lost to John B. Weller. Politicians of the mid-nineteenth century remarked that Stanly bore a strong physical resemblance to William H. Seward, though this resemblance lessened over time. Biography Stanly was born in New Bern, North Carolina, on January 10, 1810. He was a son of U.S. Representative John Stanly of New Bern and a cousin of U.S. Senator George Edmund Badger. George Washington Bowie (1827 – August 11, 1901), was a Union Army officer during the American Civil War, commanding the 5th Regiment California Volunteer Infantry and being brevetted Brigadier General of Volunteers. George Washington Bowie was born in Maryland in 1827. He came to Burlington, Iowa while it was Iowa Territory. He became a delegate to the Second Constitutional Convention, which met at Iowa City in 1846. He was a representative from Des Moines County in the First General Assembly of Iowa. The Lecompton Constitution (1859) was the second of four proposed constitutions for the state of Kansas. Named for the city of Lecompton where it was drafted, it was strongly pro-slavery. It never went into effect. History Purpose The Lecompton Constitution was drafted by pro-slavery advocates and included provisions to protect slaveholding in the state and to exclude free people of color from its bill of rights.
