Caleb Landry Jones (born December 7, 1989) is an American actor and musician, known for his roles as Banshee in '' X-Men: First Class'', Jeremy Armitage in ''Get Out'', Red Welby in ''Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri'', Ty Carter in ''The Outpost'', Jeff in ''Finch'', and Martin Bryant in ''Nitram''. His accolades include a Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actor and a AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in ''Nitram''. Early life Jones was born in Garland, Texas, the son of Patrick and Cindy Jones. As a child, his family relocated to the nearby city of Richardson, where he was raised, and where he later met Robert Hudson and formed the experimental folk rock band, Robert Jones. Caleb Jay Jones (born June 6, 1997) is an American professional ice hockey defenseman for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL). His older brother, also a defenseman, is Seth Jones. His father is former NBA player Popeye Jones. Playing career Jones played junior hockey for the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League (WHL) and for the United States National Team Development Program in the United States Hockey League (USHL). He was selected in the 2015 NHL Draft in the 4th round by the Edmonton Oilers and signed an entry level contract with them on April 7, 2016. Jones continued with the Winterhawks for the 2015–16 and 2016–17 seasons, though he did get called up for three games with the Oilers farm team, the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League (AHL), in 2015–16. R V Jones (New Brunswick)
''R v Jones'' was a 1799 court case challenging the legality of slavery in New Brunswick. Caleb Jones (–1816) was a slave owner and Loyalist who fled north from Maryland to New Brunswick after the American Revolution. In the 1780s, Jones purchased slaves in New York and Maryland and moved them to his farm in New Brunswick where he forced them to labour. By the end of the 18th century, slavery was increasingly controversial in the British colonies, and a number of prominent New Brunswickers sought to challenge the practise, including Solicitor General Ward Chipman. In 1799 they helped a woman named Nancy (sometimes called Ann) file a writ of '' habeas corpus'' challenging her enslavement by Jones. Nancy was represented ''pro bono'' by Chipman and Samuel Denny Street, while Jones retained Attorney General Jonathan Bliss, John Murray Bliss, Thomas Wetmore, Charles Jeffery Peters, and William Botsford. Personal life and high school Caleb Jones was born on February 10, 1999, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Darice Maxie and James Jones. Jones attended Lawrence North High School, where he played football, track-and-field, and basketball. After his successful tenure in high school, Jones was named an Associated Press all-state offensive lineman for the state of Indiana. College career Jones was rated as the twelfth-best player in the state of Indiana going into college and chose to attend Indiana University.
