Caleb Campbell
Caleb Matthew Campbell (born September 14, 1984) is a former American football linebacker. He is also a lieutenant in the United States Army. He was selected by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Army. He was also a member of the Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs. Early years Campbell attended Perryton High School where he lettered three times in football. He earned four additional letters in basketball and three in track and field. He also served as a team captain for the football team as a senior. In football, he played both Quarterback and Free safety. He was named '' Amarillo Globe-News'' 3A "Player of the Year." He also received All-State honors during his junior and senior years. He was an All-State selection on both offense and defense. He was a two-time All-Conference selection. Linebacker
Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. A fumble in gridiron football occurs when a player who has possession and control of the ball loses it before being downed (tackled), scoring, or going out of bounds. A touchdown (abbreviated as TD) is a scoring play in gridiron football. Whether running, passing, returning a kickoff or punt, or recovering a turnover, a team scores a touchdown by advancing the ball into the opponent's end zone. The ''Amarillo Globe-News'' is a daily newspaper in Amarillo, Texas, owned by Gannett. The newspaper is based at downtown's FirstBank Southwest Tower, but is printed at a facility in Lubbock.
