Caja Oblatos C.F.D. is a football club that plays in the Liga Premier de México, Liga Premier – Serie B de México, Serie B. It is based in Zapotlanejo, Mexico. History The origins of the team go back to a football training center owned by a credit union in Guadalajara, in 2019 it enrolled in the Liga TDP, the last professional category of Mexican football. Since its foundation, the team had an irregular performance in the league, without being able to qualify for the promotion play-off on any occasion. On June 30, 2023, the team entered the Liga Premier de México, Liga Premier – Serie B de México, Serie B through an expansion franchise to increase the number of teams participating in that league. Zapotlanejo
Zapotlanejo is a town and municipality in the Mexican state of Jalisco. According to the 2020 census, there were 63,634 inhabitants in the municipality. The municipality has a territorial extension of 643.02 km2. Toponymy Zapotlanejo is a hybrid word, half Nahuatl and half Spanish language, Spanish. The Nahuatl word "Sapote" (from Nahuatl tzapotl) is a term for a soft, edible fruit and "tlan" (place). In addition, the name of the municipality includes the Spanish ending indicating locality "ejo." Climate History The town of Zapotlán was previously known as Zapotlán de los Tecuexes, alluding to the name of its pre-Hispanic inhabitants, the Tecuexes, who established themselves in the area about 1218. The Liga Premier is the third tier of Association football, football in Mexico within the Mexican football league system that governs Serie A de México, Serie A and Serie B de México, Serie B leagues/group competitions. Serie B De México
The Serie B is a Mexican association football league. Eleven teams compete in one group. Since the 2021–22 season, it is two short tournaments. The top two teams directly to the semifinals & the next four teams in the standings at end of each torneo will play will play a one-game playoff to advance to the Liguilla to play for promotion to Liga Premier de México, Liga Premier – Serie A de México, Serie A, and the stadium must meet the requirements to promote as well.
