Júnior Caiçara
Uilson de Souza Paula Júnior (born 27 April 1989), commonly known as Júnior Caiçara, is a Brazilian footballer who last played as a right-back for Santos. Career Santo André and loans Caiçara's first professional club is Santo André. In 2009, after making his senior debut with their B-team in the previous year's Copa Paulista, he was loaned out to Brazilian team CSA. Back to Santo André in May 2009, Júnior Caiçara made his Série A debut on 16 May, starting and being sent off in a 4–2 away win over Coritiba. In 2010, he was sent on loan to América-SP, where he featured in four Campeonato Paulista Série A2 matches before being released on 10 February. In June 2010, Caiçara goes to Portugal team Gil Vicente again on loan from Santo André. He made his debut on 29 August against Trofense in the second Portugal league. Caiçaras
Caiçaras () are the traditional inhabitants of the coastal regions of the southeastern and southern Brazil. They form a distinct group of people, descended from Africans, indigenous people, and Europeans. Their traditional way of life based on subsistence agriculture, hunting and fishing is threatened by real estate speculation, restrictive laws and declining fish stocks. Origins The name ''caiçara'' comes from the Tupi language ''ka'aysá'' (or ''ka'aysara''), a rustic fence made of tree branches. The fences would surround a village, or would be used for trapping fish. Over time it came to be used for the huts built on the beaches, and then for the inhabitants. The people are of mixed African, indigenous, and European origins. Their origins and customs are similar to the caipiras who live further inland. Caiçara Esporte Clube, commonly known as Caiçara, is a Brazilian football club based in Campo Maior, Piauà state. They competed once in the Copa do Brasil. History The club was founded on February 27, 1954 by employees of Casa Morais company and former supporters of another club of the city. Caiçara won the Campeonato Piauiense Second Level in 1963. The team finished as Campeonato Piauiense runners-up in 1963 and in 1990, and competed in the Copa do Brasil in 1991, when they were eliminated in the First Round by Atlético Mineiro. It became the first club from Piauà state to compete in a Brazilian national tournament.
