Alessandro Benvenuti
Alessandro Benvenuti (born 31 January 1950) is an Italian actor, film director and screenwriter. He was co-founder, together with Francesco Nuti and Athina Cenci, of the comedy ensemble "GianCattivi" with whom he achieved his first successes on stage and on television. He made his film debut in '' West of Paperino'', for which he won the 1982 Silver Ribbon for Best New Director, therefore he started a critically appreciated career as director, screenwriter and actor of a set of original, offbeat comedies. In 1995 he won a second Silver Ribbon for the script of the film '' Belle al Bar''. In 1996, he received three Globi d'oro nominations for his comedy drama film '' Ivo the Genius'' in the categories best film, best actor and best director. Daniela Poggi (born 17 October 1954) is an Italian film and stage actress and television presenter. Background Born in Savona, at young age Poggi studied ballet, then graduated from Linguistic High-school. Following her family she moved in Milan where she started working in commercials; resumed her ballet studies, after a few minor film roles Poggi had the first great opportunity in 1978, chosen by Walter Chiari to star with him in the revue ''Hai mai provato nell'acqua calda?'' In 1979 she got a huge popularity thanks to the participation to the Raiuno variety television ''La sberla'', that was seen by an average of about 20 million viewers. Poggi started her cinema career in genre films, especially starring in roles of sexual object in several commedie sexy all'italiana, then, from late 1980s, she switched into more dramatic roles. Novello Novelli (2 March 1930 – 10 January 2018) was an Italian character actor. Life and career Born in Poggibonsi, province of Siena, as Novellantonio Novelli, a former footballer and surveyor, Novelli initially was the manager of the cabaret group "I Giancattivi" consisting of Francesco Nuti, Athina Cenci and Alessandro Benvenuti. In 1981, he made his acting debut in the Giancattivi's film ''West of Paperino'', then, after the group disbanded, Novelli remained associated to Nuti, appearing in almost all his films. He also worked with Benvenuti, being critically appreciated for his performances in ''Welcome to Home Gori'' and its sequel, ''Return to Home Gori''.
