Cailungo
Cailungo is a village (''curazia'') in central San Marino. It belongs to the castle of Borgo Maggiore. Geography The village is located at the north of its castle seat, and its main road is ''via Ca' dei Lunghi''. It is divided in Cailungo di Sopra (''Upper C.'') and Cailungo di Sotto (''Lower C.''). Infrastructures Cailungo is the seat of the Sanmarinese State Hospital (''Ospedale di Stato di San Marino'') and the State Agency for Public Services of San Marino (''Azienda Autonoma di Stato per i Servizi Pubblici''). Sport The local football team is the Cailungo. Oratorio di San Rocco The church, Oratorio di San Rocco, was originally built in connection with a plague in the Middle Ages in honour of San Rocco. Valdragone
Valdragone is a village (''curazia'') in central San Marino. It belongs to the castello of Borgo Maggiore. Geography The village is divided into two areas: Valdragone di Sopra (''Upper V.'') and Valdragone di Sotto (''Lower V.''). It is situated close at the east of Borgo Maggiore and also close to Cailungo and Domagnano. History The name of Valdragone appears for the first time in historical documents of 1253. The Monastero di Santa Chiara was built from 1969 to 1971. According to legend, the name "Valdragone" comes from stories of a dragon that appeared there. Borgo Maggiore (; rgn, E Bórgh) is one of the 9 communes or ''castelli'' of San Marino. It lies at the foot of Monte Titano and has a population of 6,871 (May 2018), making it the second largest town of San Marino, after Dogana. Etymology From Italian ''borgo'' ("village, hamlet") + ''maggiore'' ("bigger, greater; major"). Geography It borders the San Marino municipalities Serravalle, Domagnano, Faetano, Fiorentino, San Marino City, and Acquaviva and the Italian municipality Verucchio. History The area was previously called ''Mercatale'' ("marketplace") and remains today the most important market town in San Marino. A cable car allows Monte Titano to be scaled up to the town of San Marino.
