Alphonse De Cailleux
Alphonse de Cailleux, in full Alexandre Achille Alphonse de Cailleux but numerous variations exist (31 December 1788 – 24 May 1876) was a painter, connoisseur and arts administrator who became director of the Musée du Louvre and all the royal museums of France. Under the Bourbon Restoration. he was attached to the reconstituted royal household (''maison du roi''). Bibliography Early life Cailleux was born on 31 December 1788 in Rouen ( Normandie, France). Employment As ''secrétaire général des Musées royaux'', he shared a carriage with Charles Nodier, Jean Alaux and Victor Hugo at the coronation of Charles X in 1825. In 1836, he was appointed ''directeur adjoint'' at the Louvre, where he assisted the increasingly debilitated Louis Nicolas Philippe Auguste de Forbin. Edmond Eugene Henri Caillaux (18 February 1896 — 22 January 1943) was a French World War I flying ace credited with five confirmed and three unconfirmed aerial victories. Biography Caillaux was born on 18 February 1896 in Vendôme, France. On 11 March 1915, he volunteered to serve in the military for the war's duration. After serving as a driver and an artilleryman, he transferred to an aviation unit on the Eastern Front. He entered the aviation service on 29 February 1916, trained as a pilot, and received Military Pilot's Brevet No. 4646 on 22 May 1916. He was then returned to the Eastern Front as a pilot. On 1 January 1917, he was transferred to the Western Front; on 28 April 1917, he was posted to '' Escadrille SPA.48''. After three unconfirmed victories, he was credited with downing an Aviatik on 3 December 1917. Joseph Caillaux
Joseph-Marie-Auguste Caillaux (; 30 March 1863 – 22 November 1944) was a French politician of the French Third Republic, Third Republic. He was a leader of the French Radical Party and Minister of Finance, but his progressive views in opposition to the military alienated him from conservative elements. He was accused of corruption, but was cleared by a parliamentary commission. This political weakness strengthened the right wing elements in the Radical Party. Biography He was the son of Eugène Caillaux.
